Excellent manga, the art is of the highest calibre. Both the technical execution and understanding of style and deformed expressions, amazing. The characters have very strong and well defined personalities. While going through the chapters again to grab the screencaps I really noticed just how solid and consistent the core of Lienna's characterization is. My only gripe right now is that some things could've been foreshadowed better (or at all), like the elf being the first commander or Amon's past. Unless the mangaka's just coming up with all that as he goes, in which case its extremely impressive.

- The alt name modding branch stuff, modded traits for the new TH20 characters, the yandere rework, the new Ability Cards, and the Nudist Sense bug fix all got merged. Dialogue editing is almost done (just gotta make the the YuuParu double blowjob lines sexier).
- The AC button in the INPUT_MANY function now resets input to 0 and not the default value the function called with.
- Chocolate items and a few other untranslated strings got translated.
- SCOMs are fixed now. The game should be more or less stable now!
- Okuu got her wings back in her high-res portrait.
- Larva got high-res big breast nude sprites.
- The X-Ray toggle works again. Now you can see how much cum you dumped into your waifu(s).

BLUE_RESORT
- A new update was released. In addition to the usual "more characters, more art, more bug fixes", tennis outfits got added.

Yeah, I know it's late, but between being frustrated by all these issues with stolen/missing high value packages and being engrossed in Baldr Sky, I haven't cared much to post lately. But happy belated Halloween, at least. I did pass out candy in my neighborhood for trick or treat while playing Baldr Sky. Some black kid actually came up to me and asked if my ROG Ally was a Switch. No, my little niglet, it's a little bit different...
Speaking of, Baldr Sky is a fantastic, gripping game, and I am really coming to enjoy the battle and equipment systems. It's almost surreal that a fucking visual novel company could make a battle system this good, it makes Compa look even more pitiful. Please for the love of God Compa, remember what you're actually half-decent at and go back to turn-based already.
The story, think Death end re;Quest but cyberpunk mecha and with a focus on the intersection between meatspace and virtual reality. Also nanomachines. Ever wanted to watch a scene of a cute girl getting graphically mutated and dissolved into gray goo from start to finish? We have that here. The game does not spare a SINGLE detail.

I finished this book before I went to bed this morning. It took me a little over a day to read the entire thing. I've taken an interest in the Ed Gein case lately and have been trying to piece together what actually happened.  The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is one of my favorite horror movies, and Gein was a key inspiration behind that. There's just something about the image of a guy sitting in a dilapidated farmstead with no electricity or running water and festering in his own insanity that makes his case very unnerving to me. It reminds me of what I consider to be one of  H.P. Lovecraft's most viscerally horrifying stories, "The Picture in the House." I also have a bit of a familial connection to the case, which also helps, but Gein feels pretty unique to me.

I can't remember the last time I read a book this quickly, if I ever have. There were parts of it I definitely had problems with, but I couldn't stop reading it.

I can't call Reconguista in G great so far, but I won't deny that the setting is interesting. Even if it sucks to see the post-Turn A timeline regress into another forced technological standstill, it's neat to kind of piece together for myself what exactly some of the taboos are.
For example, at this point in the show I suspect wheeled personal vehicles are off-limit for everyone except elites. I've seen cargo trucks in the capital, and animal-drawn wagons seem to be permitted, but everyone who isn't a high-level politician seems to be stuck with some variety of legged vehicle for personal transportation. Why that in particular? Dunno. It's probably G-Reco's moonracers being neurotic as usual and trying to (unsuccessfully) drill into the earthmen's heads that they can't be trusted to have basic tech without elite oversight.

I've also noticed that a lot of the mecha have kind of questionable names. It's probably at least partially to fit in with this idea that the various factions' mecha designers are knowingly playing with fire by breaking taboo. Thus I'm seeing names like:

Partially for political reasons, the language barrier is so huge the usual suspects have a harder time corrupting their culture. But also because its fun when you do know it.
